Requirements:
- Pre-formed string quartets must have been playing together for a minimum of one academic year and have studied and/or performed a string quartet work in its entirety.
- Pre-formed string quartets must come from the same school or study in the same geographic area.
Application Process:
Step 1: Complete and submit a Pre-Formed Quartet application via Acceptd and $150 nonrefundable group application fee.
Step 2: One person in your quartet should be selected as the main point of contact and should be in charge of submitting the application. The application will include quartet-specific information, as well as information for each individual
Step 3: Submit a recorded audition by uploading it to YouTube and submitted through your Acceptd account. Please mark the video as either “public” or “unlisted.”
Quartet members wishing to be considered for admission as individuals, should the quartet not be selected or able to attend, must also submit a recorded video audition as an individual.
Step 4: We will contact your coach for a letter of recommendation. Please contact your coach to ensure they have received the request.
The application form, application fee, audition, and letter of recommendation all must be received by Madeline Island Chamber Music on or before Tuesday, February 15, 2022.
All pre-formed quartets that apply and audition by Tuesday, February 15, 2022 will be informed of their acceptance status by the end of February. If accepted as a pre-formed quartet, you must confirm your attendance within one week following notification.
All members of pre-formed quartets accepted into the Fellowship String Quartet Program must pay a $500 residential fee per person. At the time you confirm your attendance, $200 of that fee is due and is nonrefundable. The balance of $300 is due by May 27, 2022.
