MacPhail Presents: The Calamansi Quartet
November 5 @ 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
Experience the energy and intimacy of chamber music with the Calamansi Quartet, Madeline Island Chamber Music’s 2026 Emerging Artists Quartet-in-Residence. Presented at MacPhail in collaboration with Madeline Island Chamber Music, this emerging ensemble is known for bold, expressive performances and a shared love of the intimacy and intensity of chamber music.
The Calamansi Quartet performs two works from the heart of the chamber music repertoire: Mendelssohn’s vibrant String Quartet in E-flat Major, Op. 12 and Dvořák’s lyrical and spirited String Quartet in G Major, Op. 106. Together, the works offer an evening of rich melodies, dynamic interplay, and the remarkable conversation that can happen between four musicians.
